QBgami

Tracking every unique QB stat line ever thrown. QBgami = a combo of YDS, TD, & INT never seen before in NFL history

What is a QBgami?
A QBgami is a unique combination of passing yards (YDS), touchdowns (TD), and interceptions (INT) that has never been achieved before in NFL history. Inspired by the concept of "Scorigami" (unique final scores in NFL games), QBgami tracks every quarterback stat line to identify combinations that appear for the first time. For example, if a QB throws for 283 yards, 3 TDs, and 1 INT, and that exact combination has never occurred in the 100+ year history of the NFL, that's a QBgami.

With 34,979 games analyzed across regular season and playoffs, only 6,395 unique stat line combinations have ever been recorded—meaning roughly 18% of all quarterback performances result in a brand new, never-before-seen stat line. This rarity makes QBgamis a fun and meaningful way to celebrate historic QB performances, track the evolution of the quarterback position, and appreciate the uniqueness of individual games. Some legendary quarterbacks like Dan Fouts achieved 66 QBgamis over their careers, while others have multiple QBgamis in a single season, pushing the boundaries of what's statistically possible on the football field.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does our data include playoffs?
Yes!
Does our model include backups, how does it account for injuries?
The threshold is set at min 10 passing attempts. After playing around with several metrics, this was the most effective way to blend actual playing time (as opposed to garbage time) while still accounting for meaningful contributions.
Have two QBs ever recorded the same stat line in the same game?
No. The world isn't ready for that yet.
Oldest QBgami still standing?
Good ol' Bernie Masterson, who posted a whopping 36-1-1 on 2/13 passing vs. GB on Nov 5, 1939, 64 days after the start of WW2.
What happens when we get a Scorigami and a QBgami in the same game?
We hear the kids refer to this enticing possibility as "Doublegami." What happens then, your guess is as good as mine.
Has a player ever recorded a QBgami in the Super Bowl?
Yes indeed. However, only two players in NFL history have done it more than once: Tom Brady and Joe Montana. The Supergami Index is evidently quite a useful tool in determining the greatest QBs of all time.
Can I... bet on a QBgami happening?
Not yet...
Is this being run by a bot?
No, it is run by a couple friends who like football and stats.
